We practice Yoga to train our bodies and mind for optimal health. Yoga brings balance in every aspect of our being, helps us manage stress, builds strength and aliment of our bodies, massages and rejuvenates internal organs. But Yoga it's so much more. By taking a journey inward it's inviting us to remember who we are and what our gift is to this world for the benefit of us ALL.
I teach classical yoga and a typical class includes: Yoga philosophy, chanting, breathing, meditation, physically challenging Asana poses, and deep relaxation including balancing of our energy centers (Chakras). Please, join us as we learn to get to know ourselves and our neighbors through the wonderful healing power of Hatha-Raja Yoga.
Our Community Yoga classes are tailored for all levels, including beginners. Classes are held each Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Kenwood Presbyterian Church, Educational Building Auditorium, 4601 Fullerton Ave., Baltimore, Md. 21236. A donation of $5 - $10 is requested at the door but no one will be turned away. Please bring a yoga mat, pillow, bottle of water, and a towel. There are a few extras mats in the classroom if you wish to try out the class, but do not want to commit to purchasing a mat just yet.
